Procurement and Production

At PERI, procurement and production processes and their infrastructure are tested and optimised for current and future environmental costs during planning. Incorporated in the quality management system in accordance with EN ISO 9001, the PERI environmental operation inspector operates at the forefront of the actual procurement phase. He inspects the raw materials and agents against the criteria and to be fulfilled and specifies their procurement. At PERI, substituting hazardous or harmful substances has decades of tradition behind it.

For example, wood materials are predominantly procured from certified growing regions like Norway, Sweden and Finland. These forest areas are managed according to the principle of sustainability under consideration of ecological standards. This means that harvested forest is always replanted so that the new wood growth exceeds the amount harvested. This is confirmed by the PEFC certificate.
